Making a Difference
Our staff jump at the chance to get behind all sorts of causes! So much so, as a company we've committed to philanthropic goals for the past three years as it's in our nature to want to make a difference.
We often participate in charity fundraising events such as the Oxfam 100km walk in Sydney. Our staff find out about events such as these and we all get involved as a team.
We are the main sponsor of the Habitat for Humanity progam in East Timor. The program works with the poorest communities in the world to help them obtain basic housing at an affordable price. Our staff get into the spirit of giving by inventing unique ways of gathering donations from staff, family and friends.
In our first year as sponsors we raised over $47,000!
Examples of H4H fundraising:
- A CD of music composed and produced by a team of staff members in our Sydney office
- Homebrew for Habitat beer brewed by a team in Melbourne
- Crazy Hair days
- Raffles for days off or car parking spaces!
In 2005 Colmar Brunton sent our first team of researchers over to East Timor where they supported the charity first hand by getting their hands dirty building walls, mixing cement and laying floors.
